I recently got a much needed reminder that might benefit others as well, so I thought I’d just share it here with you…
Are you making a video? Make it your video. Are you giving a presentation? Speak with the knowledge that you have a right to take that that time and say what you have to say. Don’t be apologetic about being there. It can take a lot of practice to be fully confident, but even if you still find yourself feeling shy, just make sure you know that if you decided to the time to say something, to do something, to write something, it’s good to be fully present in that something.
People do want to hear what you have to say, even if at times, it doesn’t feel like it. If they have made the investment of showing up, or clicking on to your post or video, they want to know what you’re going to say, so don’t rush through thinking you’re somehow imposing on them. Own your space.
